Out West Starring Jennifer Elise Cox released on Amazon Prime

July 2017

After years of work, independent comedy feature Out West starring Jennifer Elise Cox is now available on Amazon Prime.  The film premiered July 4th, and will follow with release on Itunes, Xfinity and select US theaters.

Out West is the story of clueless but charming heiress Prissy Alcott [Jennifer Elise Cox], who becomes heir to air when the family oil money literally dries up. Panicked about the change to her lifestyle and fate of her childhood horse she high-tails it home from Reno, calling in reinforcements from her gay ex-fiancee and his 2 friends to help her re-boot the down-trodden Alcott Ranch into a sparkly-new dude ranch.

Jennifer Produced the project with her Husband, Director and Producer Lee Brownstein. She sums up the experience by saying: "Making an independent film is a huge challenge, different than anything I've ever undertaken.  It's a whole lot more than learning the most lines and building a character to carry the movie, you literally have to do everything yourself or it doesn't get done."  She goes on to add: "The process was very humbling. When we created the concept we had no idea that it would take us so long to get to the finish line; Producing, directing, editing - everything.  Jennifer brought many of her wonderful actor friends to the film and, of course, her hilarious performance.  Jennifer and Lee felt a huge responsibility to make the film great. "We really brought the funny!"
